Kent Heckaman: What's New?

Hi fans...the name of the awesome new group that I am producing is "Sonnet Cottage". I will be traveling to Utah to mix the album soon with acclaimed engineer Giles Reaves. I'm very excited about this album! This project has taken me a lot longer than anticipated to record and edit...but all good things take time, right? Look for the release date within the first quarter of 2012. Happy Holidays to all!

  Howdy partners...a new acoustic group is being formed that Kent is producing...and managing...and they are sounding way cool....(the music that is!)  I will be announcing the name of the group and a release date in the next month...so please check back soon!

Hey!  On October 15, 2010 the title track to Kent's album "Songs from Those Days" has reached #92 on the International Top 100 Chart maintained by the IAIRA (International Association of Independent Recording Artists).   

Kent's title song "Songs From Those Days" from his new album received "Top 50 Best Songs" out of several thousand entries in the 2009 Blackbird Song Contest. Artists from around the globe were entered in the contest and judges narrowed it to Top 50 and then Top 10.

Kent's new CD - Songs From Those Days, is now being featured on Pandora: www.pandora.com. To listen, just "Create a New Station" and type "Kent Heckaman" and then Kent's songs (and other artists) will begin playing. The cool thing about Pandora is that it plays songs similar to the artist you select, which introduces you to both new and familiar artists (for example, that sound like Kent's new music), or at least that's what Pandroa is trying to do!. Kent is currently in the studio working on completing his second album. The new album is a departure from his instrumental-only music...soft pop and folk melodies in collaboration with talented vocalists.
