Off to Salt Lake City to mix the debut Sonnet Cottage album with my friend and awesome engineer Giles Reaves...audio in the mountains! Release coming (one year later than thought) by May 2012.

I'm excited to be traveling to Utah next year to mix the new Sonnet Cottage album with acclaimed engineer Giles Reaves. This project has taken me a lot longer than anticipated to record and edit...but all good things take time, right? Look for the release date within the first quarter of 2012. Happy Holidays to all!

Howdy!  I'm excited to announce that I'm producing a new local band - Sonnet Cottage - featuring two very talented female vocalists...and the studio tracks are sounding way cool so far! - the debut album will be released sometime in 2012...so please check back soon!

On October 15, 2010 the title track to my debut vocal collaboration album "Songs from Those Days" has reached #92 on the International Top 100 Chart maintained by the IAIRA (International Association of Independent Recording Artists).   Thanks everyone!

The title song "Songs From Those Days" from Kent's new album received "Top 50 Best Songs" out of several thousand entries in the 2009 Blackbird Song Contest.  Artists from around the globe were entered in the contest and judges narrowed it to the Top 50 and then the Top 10.

Several songs from the album "Songs From Those Days" are now receiving airplay on Pandora - www.pandora.com.  To listen, just "Create a New Station" and type "Kent Heckaman" and then my songs (and other artists that sound like Kent) will begin playing.  The cool thing about Pandora is that it introduces you to new artists as well as plays the familiar artists that you already love.
